Sweet Ways to Give Back This Halloween

This Halloween, trick-or-treat for charities by partnering with these organization to raise awareness, fundraise, and give back to your community.

This is the 67th year for Trick-Or-Treating with UNICEF. Many schools across the nation have joined the fundraising efforts by collecting spare change or collecting donations online. UNICEF’s #bescarygood event this halloween raises funds for children affected by the recent natural disasters. Operation Gratitude sends care packages to stateside first responders and troops overseas. Children are encouraged to include boo-tiful drawings, letters, crafts, with their packages. Packages may also include sealed candy. Find your closest drop off center by entering your zip code.

Soldier’s Angels, a similar program operating on a smaller scale, collects Treats for Troops across the nation.

Ronald McDonald House helps keep severely ill children and their families together during treatment. Most locations accept unopened candy donations, find more information online.

Halloween Candy Buyback program is an incentive that collects kids’ Halloween candy for cash, toothbrush, or coupons by encourage children to donate candy toward a good cause. More information and non-profit partner information can be found online.
